ANODISED ALUMINIUM

Aluminium is far more durable than vinyls and plastics and is recommended where important information, including rating and safety information, is required to be clearly visible for a number of years. Anodised aluminium is available in a number of pre-tinted colours for laser engraving and can also be digitally printed to any required colour. Our anodised aluminium nameplates and tags are used for a variety of applications including equipment identification and branding, asset and inventory management and compliance plates. These can be digitally printed, screen printed, laser engraved, etched and paint filled, embossed, and serialised with numbering and barcodes or QR codes. The aluminium is available in a variety of gauges, starting from 0.08mm (black print only) and 0.2mm (colour print), depending on the application for which it is required.

We supply these with a single hole or multiple holes for rivets or screws, or with industrial strength adhesive backing. We can die punch, laser cut or guillotine aluminium to any required shape. The anodising process creates a hard layer on the surface and protects the inks and the surface of the aluminium from scratching and abrasion.

STAINLESS STEEL & BRASS

Stainless steel does not easily corrode, rust or stain. It has a high temperature resistance and is also more resistant to chemicals than other metals. For these reasons, it is the recommended metal for very harsh environments and conditions. As with aluminium, it is often used to brand equipment and machinery.Stainless steel can be surface engraved black or screen printed any number of Pantone colours. A more durable process is to machine etch the type or graphics into the metal. The etching can then be colour filled with an enamel which is baked into the etching. Another option is to etch and paint fill the background of plates, effectively raising the type or graphics and leaving the raising in the natural silver colour. Etched information is less susceptible to abrasion and scratching compared to surface engraving or screen printing. As with aluminium, stainless steel plates can be finished with holes or adhesion and straight cut or cut to shape as required. We most commonly use 304 Standard Grade and 316 Marine Grade Stainless Steel, starting from a gauge of 0.55mm.

Like stainless steel, brass is corrosion resistant and gives a beautiful look to a nameplate. Brass nameplates are often used for decorative effects on manufactured products as well as used for commemorative plaques and awards. Brass too can be used in harsh industrial environments. Valve tags with serialised numbering and information is often made from brass using the etching and paint filling process. Brass nameplates are too finished with holes for mounting or with adhesive backing.

ALUMINIUM FOIL

Self-debossing aluminium foil labels are made from a soft conformable aluminium which leaves an indented impression when written on with a pen. These are perfect for high abrasive environments where ink is likely to rub off. This material is mostly used for servicing of components or machinery, equipment calibration and asset maintenance, where information can be permanently marked on the label. The stock can withstand extreme temperatures, can be used indoor and outdoor, and can be applied to flat or curved surfaces, which makes it suitable for any industry.

We can screen print in Pantone colours or digitally print in full colour onto the stock and can also supply with serialised numbering if required. Labels can be supplied in single units, on sheets or on rolls and can be cut to any required shape. All labels are supplied with permanent adhesive backing.

TRAFFOLYTE & OTHER PLASTICS

We work with a number of different plastics including Traffolyte and Gravoply, Polypropylene, PVC, Teslin, Acrylic, Flexible PVC and Polycarbonate. We also supply labels and badges finished with a polymer resin lensing. We can supply these labels, tags and signs printed in Pantone colours or in full colour, can engrave or digitally print on hardened plastics like Traffolyte and Gravoply and can also supply plastics with raised print. We too can supply acrylic in many different colours laser cut to any required shape, including letters and numbers. We supply key tags and membership or reward cards in PVC or Teslin. Many of our plastics can be supplied printed with serialised numbering, barcodes and QR codes.
